Faculty and Staff

I grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and received my Bachelor"s of Science in Special Education (learning disabilities and behavior disorders) from Illinois State in 1996. I taught for one year at Carpentersville Middle School and six years at Dundee-Crown High School in Carpentersville, IL. At Dundee-Crown I worked predominantly with students with learning disabilities and behavior disorders in self-contained, resource, and co-taught settings. I was the head of the Special Education Department there for two years and led training on co-teaching and making adaptations to the general education curriculum. I earned my Master"s in Special Education at ISU in 2003 and, in the fall of 2005, began working for ISU supervising students in their clinical experiences, teaching paracticum courses, and working with the field-base programs.
