Biography Dr. Nicole Uphold is an Assistant Professor of Special Education. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She worked as a teacher for students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. Her current research interests include the transition from school to adult life and teaching self-determination skills to students with disabilities.
