BiographySusan Larkin received her undergraduate degree in Deaf Education from Illinois State University. After teaching deaf-blind students at Illinois Braille & Sight Saving School in Jacksonville, Illinois, Mrs. Larkin earned her Master"s degree in Behavior & Learning Disorders. Teaching experiences followed including as an LD Resource teacher at LeRoy High School, an interventionist at the 6th grade level at Bloomington Junior High School and a teacher of students with behavior disorders at Scott Center School in Bloomington Training & supervising volunteers as Court Appointed Special Advocates preceded the opportunity to supervise student teachers in the Special Education Department at Illinois State University. Teaching Philosophy Students in school deserve the best possible teachers. Preparing teachers to meet the needs of all students is our goal. Through experiences in the classroom and with guidance and support, students who complete the field-based program, develop the skills needed to meet the challenges of student teaching. It is our goal that they will become teachers who think of students" needs first and have the knowledge and experience to meet those needs.
